The Testimony of Scripture
Six Biblical Truths About Jesus Christ
The Old and New Testaments reveal who Jesus is, why He came into the world, and what He has accomplished for our salvation.
Eternal God in the Flesh
Jesus did not begin in Bethlehem. He is the eternal Word of God — Creator of all things — who took on human flesh to reveal the Father and save sinners.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us,”
— John 1:1, 14
Truly Human & Without Sin
Born of the virgin Mary, Jesus experienced human hunger, sorrow, and temptation, yet never sinned — qualifying Him as our spotless Lamb and merciful High Priest.
“For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.”
— Hebrews 4:15
The Savior Who Died for Us
On the cross, Jesus willingly bore our sins in His own body and took the righteous judgment we deserved so that we might be forgiven, healed, and made right with God.
“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.”
— Isaiah 53:5
The Risen & Living Lord
On the third day, Jesus rose bodily from the dead, appearing to His disciples and over five hundred witnesses — conquering death and guaranteeing eternal life.
“I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.”
— Revelation 1:18
Baptizer with the Holy Spirit
The risen Jesus pours out the Holy Spirit upon all who trust Him — bringing new birth, comfort, spiritual gifts, and power for holy living and bold witness.
“I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier than I is coming… He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.”
— Luke 3:16
Exalted King Who Is Coming Again
Ascended to the right hand of the Father, Jesus reigns over heaven and earth and has promised to return personally and visibly in glory to receive His people.
“And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”
— John 14:3

Key Bible Verses Declaring Who Jesus Is
Read the foundational New Testament passages that proclaim the supremacy, sacrifice, and lordship of Jesus Christ.
“He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible… All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.”
“Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
“Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
“For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all,”
“who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.”
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”

God proved His love for you by sending Jesus to die for your sins and rise again.
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
— Romans 5:8
Repent & Confess Him as Lord
Turn from sin and place your faith in Jesus Christ as your risen Lord and Savior.
“that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
— Romans 10:9
Become a Child of God
Everyone who receives Jesus by faith is forgiven and welcomed into God’s family.
“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:”

Pray to Receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
Jesus promised, “the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out” (John 6:37). If you want to turn from sin and trust in Jesus Christ today, pray from your heart:
“Lord Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner and need Your saving mercy. I believe that You are the eternal Son of God, that You died on the cross for my sins, and that God raised You bodily from the dead. I turn from my sins and receive You now as my Lord and Savior. Thank You for forgiving me, making me a child of God, and giving me eternal life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and lead me all the days of my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
