Christian Doctrine & Convictions
Statement of Faith
Our faith is rooted in Scripture and centered on Jesus Christ. Explore the biblical convictions that shape our teaching, worship, and hope.
The One True God
We believe in one living and true God, eternally existing in three Persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — infinite in holiness, love, wisdom, and power, the Creator and Sustainer of all things.
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,”
The Holy Scriptures
We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired, trustworthy, and authoritative Word of God, the supreme standard for Christian faith, doctrine, and godly living.
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
“Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.”
The Lord Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God — fully God and truly human. Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, He lived a sinless life, died on the cross as the substitutionary sacrifice for our sins, was buried, rose bodily from the dead on the third day, and ascended to the right hand of the Father as Lord and Savior.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”
“Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,”
Salvation by Grace Through Faith
We believe that all people have sinned and need God’s saving mercy. Salvation is the free gift of God’s grace — never earned by human works — received through repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, bringing forgiveness of sins, new birth, and eternal life.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
The Ministry & Baptism of the Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, brings new birth, and indwells every believer to form Christlike character. We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit — empowering believers for bold witness and service — and the continuing gifts of the Spirit according to Scripture.
“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.”
The Church, Ordinances & Christian Walk
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, called to worship God, proclaim the Gospel, walk in holiness, and love one another. Believers are called to water baptism, the regular observance of the Lord’s Supper, prayer, daily Scripture reading, and faithful fellowship in a local church.
“Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.””
“And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.”
The Return of Christ & Eternal Hope
We believe in the personal, visible, and glorious return of our Lord Jesus Christ, the bodily resurrection of the dead, the righteous judgment of God, and everlasting life in the presence of the Lord for all who are redeemed in Christ.
“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.”
“And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.”
