Scripture & Context

Understand

Jesus teaches Nicodemus about the new birth through the Spirit (John 3:1–8). He promises His disciples the Helper, who will teach them and remind them of His words (John 14:15–27). Galatians 5:16–26 calls believers to walk by the Spirit and grow in the character He forms, including love, joy, peace and self-control. The Holy Spirit also empowers Christ's witnesses (Acts 1:8). Read the passages in context and seek His help to follow Jesus in truth, holiness, love and faithful service.
