Understand
Jesus teaches His disciples to pray to the Father sincerely, seeking His kingdom and depending on Him for daily needs, forgiveness and deliverance (Matthew 6:5–13). Paul encourages prayer with thanksgiving amid real concerns (Philippians 4:4–9). His prayer for the Colossians asks for knowledge of God's will, faithful conduct, strength and gratitude for salvation (Colossians 1:9–14). Let these passages shape prayer that honors God, brings needs honestly before Him and cares for others.
